This is just a brief introduction to Dave Wise. He’s not always been a professional photographer, he’s not gone around finding important names to follow or assist; he didn’t go to University to “learn” photography. With that said, he has never been apart from his camera since getting his first Kodak Brownie at just 5yrs old.
Described as part of the “fashion elite” on Britains Next Top Model. Dave says “I think fashion is your own sense of self; be you and the world see’s you. If you pretend to be someone else and the world will only ever see the person you are pretending to be. I am me“.
Dave has always been creative; drawing, music, writing; all are things that he takes interest in, but his passion, without a doubt his passion is the camera and the images he creates. “For me, making images that carry a part of me with them, it makes me smile everyday“.
Dave is a devoted family man, his young family help him drive through this creative world, enabling him to stay focused. “My family grounds me in everything I do. I have an old school “East End” view on the world, my history to this point in time has made me what I am. I am grateful for the opportunities life has given me.” Dave is still an “East End” child and always will be.
